This past weekend was another fun-filled weekend full of all sorts of home repairs.  I helped install a new fan for Tracy's parents which ended up requiring way more work than we thought.  We had to remove the existing ceiling mount and buy/install a new mount.  I had to do some electrical work that ended up being way more complicated than it needed to be.  We had to crawl in the attic during the day in the Bakersfield heat - NOT FUN.  While I was working on the fan on Sunday I got a call from Tracy telling me the kitchen faucet was leaking everywhere.  So we went to Home Depot in search of a new faucet and found one we liked.  I started to replace the kitchen faucet realizing that I needed to shut off the water to the house in order to replace the existing valves (which were not compatible with the new faucet).  I'm not a great plumber so having to shut off the water to the house stresses me out because if I fail then I have to pay the big bucks to call a plumber on the weekend.  Anyway after another trip to the depot I found the valves I needed and installed the new kitchen faucet successfully.  Hooray for another notch in the home owner's belt but man I'm tired today.
